The &#8220;Ten Worlds&#8221; are a fundamental concept in SGI&#8217;s teachings that describe ten different states of consciousness that a person can experience in their daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to SGI teachings, the Ten Worlds are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hell (Jigoku) &#8211; a state of extreme suffering and despair.<br>Hunger (Gaki) &#8211; a state of craving and insatiable desire.<br>Animality (Chikusho) &#8211; a state of instinctive behavior and lack of reason.<br>Anger (Shurakuen) &#8211; a state of agitation, resentment, and hostility.<br>Humanity (Nin) &#8211; a state of empathy, reason, and compassion.<br>Heaven (Ten) &#8211; a state of joy, serenity, and contentment.<br>Learning (Shomon) &#8211; a state of seeking knowledge and understanding.<br>Realization (Engaku) &#8211; a state of insight and enlightenment.<br>Bodhisattva (Bosatsu) &#8211; a state of altruism and devotion to the welfare of others.<br>Buddhahood (Buddha) &#8211; a state of perfect wisdom and compassion.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SGI teachings emphasize that these states are not fixed and can change depending on one&#8217;s thoughts, actions, and circumstances.
